The most challenging Windsor chair to make, shown here in rare and difficult to work timbers. The top bow is steam bent from one piece of English oak then paired down to the fine Gothic arch. The chair design complete with cabriole legs dates back to around 1765, the time Horace Walpole created and enjoyed the pinnacle of Gothic revival at Strawberry Hill House.
